A secluded old estate lake that lies deep in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. Hidden in a wooded valley near Wenlock Edge, the lake’s construction dates back to the 18th Century. The lake was re-excavated and remodelled in the late 1980s, after which it became a Private Syndicate.. Having been left to wild over for the past 10 years, the lake has now had a complete restocking, and has become a prime and very mature water that is steeped in wildlife, fauna and complimented by beautiful surroundings.

The lake is a traditional natural venue has shallows and depths of up to 10 feet and has features including weed beds, lilly pads, rushes, as well as various underwater features such as silt, gravel, underwater streams, slopes and deep holes. It is not a typical commercial fishery and as such requires plenty of knowledge, water craft and experience. The lake is full of natural food and blood worm beds so tactics are key.

It is stocked with approximately 100 pristine fish ranging from newly stocked Scaly Mirrors to large Unscaled Mirrors, Zip Linear and a few beautiful Old English Common Carp. Our current stock range up to the 30lbs, which will continue to grow and be added to over the coming years.
